Accordion
The "accordion" of the "bal musette" comes from Austria at the beginning of the 19th century where it was played in elegant recital rooms. But it quickly wound up performed on the streets where it became very popular around the world and in popular dances.
The so-called music "musette" becomes a genre typically french and musette balls invaded dances held in courtyards of cafes, music halls and other social locations.
We remember some of its great accordion performers: André Verchuren, lovable, Yvette Horner...
We recreate the festive and ballroom atmosphere, while evoking the old Montmartre, where you can hum those old-fashioned charming tunes with our musicians and our singers: "under the bridges of Paris", "Mademoiselle de Paris" or "Les amants de Saint-Jean".
